[Conference] European Conference on Data Analysis
Dear Colleagues, I am pleased to announce the next European Conference on Data Analysis (ECDA2022) that will take place from September 14th to 16th, 2022, hosted by the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy.
ECDA2022 is jointly organized by the Department of Economics and Statistics and by the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II. ECDA 2022 supported by the German Classification Society (GfKl), the Section on Classification and Data Analysis of the Polish Statistical Association (SKAD), the Classification and Data Analysis Group of the Italian Statistical Society (CLADAG), the British Classification Society (BCS) and the Dutch/Flemish Classification Society (VOC). Professor Francesco Palumbo (University of Naples Federico II, ITALY) is the general conference chair, and Professor Hans Kestler (Ulm University, GERMANY) and Professor Cristina Davino (University of Naples Federico II, ITALY) are the program chairs.
The symposium will focus on multidisciplinary approaches to data analysis, with a particular interest in classification and the interface between computer science, data mining, and statistics. With the motto “Avoiding drowning in the data: recent trends and future challenges in learning from data”, ECDA2022 explicitly emphasizes the role of statistics in discovering novel and exciting patterns in the era of big data.
