During the International Workshop “Environmental Finance for the Common Good” held in London on the 31st of March and 1st of April 2022, the scientific committee of the conference has awarded the best paper on the topic of the role of artificial intelligence in supporting environmental transition/finance by an Early career investigator (ECI), a researcher below 40 years.

The award is one of the initiatives promoted by the FinAI Action CA19130 to foster diversity amongst its researchers and to support the inclusion of Early Career Investigators. 

The prize has been assigned to Alberto Citterio, a doctoral candidate at the University of Insubria for his work on the role of Artificial intelligence methods in the detection of financial distress of banks.
